We now know that unlocking the Droid Incredible’s bootloader is possible and that a full NAND unlock could be next!
Where else is new? Maybe this:
Let’s hope this drops SOON!

Once 1.7 is installed you can optionally flash these:
Introduction
CyanogenMod-6 is in the works and anyone with a rooted HTC Incredible should give it a try. As always, you should make a nandroid backup first.
It should be mentioned that several things are not implemented or working in CM6, to name a few: MMS, Camera, GPS, Bluetooth, stock WiFi tethering and possibly others. If any of these things are “mission critical” on your “I took a chance and rooted my mission critical” device, then don’t even try CM6 – you won’t like it until it reaches release status.
Right now, it’s a nightly build. No major bugs, but also “not ready for prime time”. This morning my phone rebooted during a call, the first time I’ve had any issues with it.
I will add more to this review as time permits. For now I just wanted to get my scores posted somewhere.
Benchmarks
Scores with HTC Incredible “stock” 2.1 Eclair using the stock 998.4 Mhz kernel:
Scores with CyanogenMod-6 2.2 Froyo using a custom 1113.6 Mhz kernel:

A new release from CaptainJager is available now:
CyanogenMod released a nightly build of CM6 tonight including some long awaited love for the Droid Incredible.
Everyone with rooted devices and custom recovery is now able to run Android 2.2.
Flash 10.1 seems to be working well.
I will follow up with more information as soon as possible.
Previously in Android 2.1 I was only hitting ~7 in Linpack and ~450 in Quadrant.

Welcome to droidfiend.com, a new home for Android users to get up-to-date and breaking news and reviews on the latest Android devices, applications, ROMS and kernels.
We are admittedly a little behind the curve. Android devices have been out for almost 2 years and their popularity began to spike at the end of 2009. We will not focus on past news events but over time we might add relevant content. The primary focus of this site will be to pick up starting at the beginning of July 2010.
This site is brand new and will undergo many changes before it becomes fully operational. We want to start posting articles as soon as possible and for this reason the site will be “live” before it has reached operational status. Once the site is fully operational new users will be able to register.
We haven’t made any steps to announce this site publicly yet, so take everything you see here with a grain of salt.

From the looks of the picture, we might be getting a big OTA update that enables a few new features. Can anyone say cheese! Looks like us lucky incredible owners might be getting an update that enables 720p HD recording on our devices as well as a mobile hotspot feature.
